這是由SOM事務(wù)所設(shè)計(jì)的世界貿(mào)易中心一號大樓，它將是世貿(mào)中心重建綜合體中第一個(gè)建成辦公塔樓，另有其他三個(gè)高層將相繼建成。當(dāng)2014年建成后，這個(gè)塔樓將高達(dá)1776英尺（541.32米），能提供3百萬平方英尺（278709.12平方米）的可利用空間。塔樓百分之五十五已經(jīng)租賃出去，出版巨頭康泰納仕集團(tuán)已經(jīng)占有120萬平方英尺（111483.65平方米）的空間，共25層。萬通中國將租用190000平方英尺（17651.5776平方米）的空間，而美國聯(lián)邦總務(wù)管理局則占據(jù)270000平方英尺（25083.82平方米）的空間。后期的圖片顯示幾處設(shè)計(jì)中的改動(dòng)，包含去除尖頂外部包裹，還有就是在建筑底層引入一系列的玻璃鱗片，而不是一開始的統(tǒng)一玻璃表皮的設(shè)計(jì)。

    The first office tower to rise from the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan, One World Trade Center has been celebrated recently through the release of thirteen new renderings released by The Port Authority and Durst Organization. Whetting the appetites of architects, engineers and developers the world over, these glossy images demonstrate the immensity of scale that Skidmore, Owings and Merrill are working with in New York. When completed in spring 2014, the building will reach 1,776 ft in offer 3 million sq ft of occupiable space.
